For that, I would watch
For no good reason I can ascertain, I've seen the past couple episodes of Smallville. Michael Rosenbaum and John Glover are both hot enough to melt butter (I fell for JG when he played the Devil on Brimstone -- I swear to Christ, one of the funniest things I've ever seen is the Devil singing about gonorrhea), but I've never been a fan of the show or anything. I just know enough to get in trouble, right?
So, there's this arc starting, I guess, with Chloe (the only interesting character) and getting seduced to the dark side or something, and I have to admit, when I saw Luthor pere standing in the journalism office with Chloe, starting to suck on her soul, I sat up and took notice.
Corrupting youth. Power-dynamic relationship stuff. I mean, if *I* were a bad guy (and the world should subside me to stay good, y'know, like farmer's subsidies for *not* growing crops?), I'd be casting a 'romance' in her direction.
The big bad billionaire 'smitten' with this young, heartfelt, idealistic journalist barely-post-jailbait. Telling others he just wants to 'nurture' her talent, but 'obviously' caring just a little more than a mere mentor should. Maybe even let her think she's rubbed off on him. The way to a woman's heart is through her heart, you know. She could fall for him just for being 'open and vulnerable' to her.
And it would all be a plot to steal her soul. *dark, knowing chuckle*

'Course, now that I've mentioned that gonorrhea singing thing, I may have to haul out my tapes of Brimstone and find that episode.
