Wuh? Wuh? Wuthering Heights...MTV style
Sep. 16th, 2003 01:11 amIt's entirely possible I will die of an apoplectic fit before finishing this post.
*lip twitches*
Apparently
*eyelid gets in on the twitch action*
MTV
*hands begins to shake violently*
has made a version
*blood gushes from eyes, ears and nose*
of Wuthering Heights.
*heart and other vital organs leap out of chest in vain attempt to safe self from internalizing meaning of preceding words. Alas, it is too late. Exeunt organs, stage left.*

Another classic gets remade and remodeled for MTV. Toss your notes out the window because this ain’t your English teacher’s Wuthering Heights. Directed by Suri Krishnamma, Emily Bronte’s classic tale of passion and jealousy is set in modern-day California and stars Erika Christensen, hot newcomer Mike Vogel and Chris Masterson, Johnny Whitworth, Katherine Heigl, and Aimee Osbourne. Wuthering Heights features original tunes by pop maestro Jim Steinman, the brains behind the brawn of Meatloaf’s multi-platinum rock opera Bat out of Hell
The truly horrible thing is that my compulsion to possess EVERY VERSION OF WH EVER CREATED m-m-m-may actually force me to not only watch but own a copy.
Or, self-preservation may override my completist doctrine. This time.
God save us if Fox News ever does a version. God save us all.
