'Withnail and I'

I had the stroke of fortune to watch the 1987 film Withnail and I last night, with Richard E. Grant as Withnail and Paul McGann as 'I'. It's damn dark, damn funny, tragic and entirely worth seeing and owning. Richard Griffiths as 'Uncle Monty' is incredible, the entire interaction between him and 'I' at the cottage is simply deadly.

It was on cable around midnight, on the....*think*think*think* 'true stories' channel. I surfed in after the first 5 minutes.

However....it's on DVD at Amazon.
