Confession Stories
Aug. 30th, 2003 12:09 amNo, no, no. I'm trying to write confession stories. I've written something that's about 1500 words long (manuscript format), trying to follow confession guidelines (http://www.sfwa.org/writing/confessions.htm and some other sources), but I've
a. never read a confession magazine -- yes, I'm going to correct that!
b. am not sure how close I've hit the mark.
I think I may be blowing it in terms of the character redemption part of the arc, and I may simply need to write this one off as good practice on writing nonexistent sex scenes* and that kind of POV and tone. Since I have another one outlined that does have more of a plot.
* non-explicit sex scenes. It's the whole dissolving together in passion thing. Or you just fade to black.
At the very least, an interesting exercise.
