1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed?

Nope. I was adopted by my stepfather as a child, so I have a different last name.

2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?

I like my name the way it is. I took back mi padre's last name as part of my middle name several years ago, and have no other plans to change it.

3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)

Madre. A student of linguistics who wanted her children to have unique names. It worked. Boy, did it work.

4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?

I dislike particularly trendy names, but only because they're trendy. I love Slavic names like Fyodor, Nickolai, Svetlana, and I love Biblical women's names and Puritan women's names -- Ruth, Esther (the former), Constance, Charity (the latter). That kind of thing.

5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com / triggur.org / astroexpert accurate? How or how isn't it?

kabalarians.com:

The first name of [...] leads you to assume considerable responsibility and to prefer to work independently, without direction or interference from others because you have very definite ideas of your own. Your mind is quick to comprehend and you can be depended upon to do any job well. Because you tend to be somewhat of a perfectionist, you might insist on doing too many things yourself instead of delegating jobs to others who might do less satisfactory work. This name does make you quite direct and straight-to-the-point. Your verbal expression does not reflect your inner thoughts and feelings, and you often wonder why people react to what you say. The influence of this name does not promote the friendship that you desire or the relaxation and naturalness you should enjoy with people. It is a name that makes you far too practical and serious-minded, and makes it difficult for you to act with spontaneity.

Yeah, that's pretty decent. I'd say as I've gotten older I've learned to delegate and whatnot, and I work on the spontaneity. (Counterintuitive, I know.)

triggur.org:

Naw. Lying, not rowing with both oars, shivering ball of rage waiting to explode? Nope.

astroexpert:

Couldn't get this application running. *Shrug*.

If you have a thing for photography, Nicole Kidman, David Bowie, or cross-dressing, check out the current Vogue. I was standing in line at the market with elke when she was visiting, opened up the current Vogue because it was 1.5 inches *thick*, my god, that's insane, skimmed about and

*whammo*

Nicole, blonde, skinnier than the last time I saw her, dressed up in men's suits, hair kind of up and back, looked like a David Bowie impersonator. A good one.

Wow.
