Thank goodness for LJ. I think I'd be puking if I'd watched normal news for this stuff. As it is I'm in a supportive environment and still fairly high in my Ranma 1/2 zone. But I'm going to have a strong drink to get to sleep tonight. *gets skin crawly feeling* Eeew. Moving to Indiana doesn't really sound so bad right about now.

There's a significant chance that I'm flying up to the bay area to visit a friend of mine up there this weekend, if versaphile is free to stop in on Cin on Saturday ...

Wouldn't mind a supportive environment right about now. I hate isolation, and not working gives me that in spades.

Indiana? Hell, try the UK. Canada, where I might stand a snail's chance of having a civil right or two in a few years.

Lemme call the brotherly one and find out if we're hooking up -- him coming into LA this weekend is totally contingent on whether or not the union is striking up his way -- if they are, he, et al, have nowhere to shop for food, 'cause there's only the one grocery store. Aside from the tourist crap, which of course, no one but tourists can afford. So, they're only coming down to stock up if there's a strike.

(I predict...vast amounts of powdered milk in that family's future.)

I'll know more...sometime today.

I might ask to sleep over one night if this drive up to see parents+sibling+? actually materializes. :-) Not sure if it would be on the way there or back. But, then you can show me "Sea Hawk". Both of us, if cortese comes with! It's just all up in the air at the moment, on my end at least.

I'll probably communicate telepathically with fellow-offspring this evening, and come to arrangements.

Hey, you're welcome to come with, too. Although I know you're ultra-busy. But my folks always enjoy meeting my friends, and my friends - trust me - ALWAYS enjoy meeting my folks.
