"I missed you." The hot breath in his ear made Julian's knees almost buckle. Oh, dear God. "I missed you, too, Garak."

"Good. Do you have to report for duty?"

"No."

"Meet me in my quarters after you unpack."

Julian hurried. To his quarters where he unpacked by flinging his bag on his bed and splashing water on his face. 10 days was way too long to be apart. He smiled at his reflection in the mirror. Then hurried some more.

-- BEEP --

"Come in, doctor!" came the Cardassian's jovial tone. The door opened and he slipped in. To be greeted by...candles. A tray of fruit. And a smiling Garak, who stepped forward to embrace him.

"Do come all the way in, doctor, you must tell me all about your trip. How was the conference?" He brushed his lips over the human's mouth, teasing.

"Ah, it was fine, Garak, just fine. Some very interesting papers presented." Julian's temperature went up a degree.

"Really?" The tailor was being exceptionally coquettish, his tone and body saying two different things. Standing before the doctor, hands stroking his chest, then gripping Julian's waist to press their groins together. Holding him like that. Then, completely calmly, "and how was your paper received?" as if they were lunching on the Promenade.

"Not as favorably as I would have liked." He managed to get out, almost closing his eyes as he leaned back in the Cardassian's arms. Another degree.

"Oh, that is most unfortunate. Do tell me what happened."

Garak proceed to pull them backward toward his couch, sitting down and gesturing for Bashir to do so as well. Then moving to press against Julian, wedging the human into the corner. With one hand he cupped the doctor's balls, and leaned forward to the tray on the table, plucking a piece of fruit and placing it between his lips. Seductively, "Please."

Julian closed his eyes and leaned back, searching, trying to focus past Garak stroking him. "Ah," he said from a suddenly dry throat. "Dr. Taeg'perra wasn't there." Garak's fingers were on his uniform, then on his bare chest. He moaned as the Cardassian tickled his left nipple.

Another degree. His brain was going to melt. He just knew it.

"But what did this good doctor's absence have to do with you?"

The Cardassian dragged a piece of fruit on Julian's bare skin. Then ate it, lips pressed against Bashir's sternum. Licked the juice up to Julian's neck. The human's fingers dug into the fabric of the couch. "Come, come, doctor, I'm waiting."

Hands trembling, Julian tugged at Garak's clothing, "well", he said, stalling, trying to remember what he'd just been asked. Garak was peeling his uniform off faster than he could get at the Cardassian's apparel. Not fair. Another degree. Another piece of fruit on his skin. "We had, uh, ".

"Yes, doctor?" Julian was nude. Garak, almost.

"She was giving a complementary paper, supporting some of my results." he blurted.

"I see." More fruit. Julian stroked Garak's erection.

"And when she didn't give her paper?" The Cardassian covered him, offering a strawberry by the stem, talking around it.

Julian bit, and Garak tossed the stem in the general direction of the table, then kissed him, sharing the strawberry taste. Their erections ground together. Bashir moaned into the other's mouth, who withdrew. "Yes, doctor?"

"Yes, Garak!" He was almost panting.

Garak pulled him farther down on the couch and reached for the lubricant under the table. Looking down at himself as he stroked some onto his penis. Then at Bashir. "The lack of her paper, doctor?"

Low moan. "Uh." He was staring at the Cardassian's body, watching Garak's fingers. Waiting. Please. "Uh. Left me...looking..." The Cardassian pulled his body to him, lifting his hips. Bashir could feel him pulsing, ready to enter. Waiting.

"Left you looking, doctor?" Blew down on his penis. Julian twitched.

"Left me looking ah, ah, a little one-sided."

Garak began, ever so slowly, to penetrate. Bashir shut his eyes with a long sigh, relaxing in the Cardassian's hands. "Oh, Garak." That oh-so-exciting nonhuman shape spreading him, stimulating him completely. "Yes." He opened his eyes. His lover was smiling down at him.

Then stopped, pulsing inside him, holding them still. Casually asked, "and why wasn't she there, doctor?"

Smiled wider as Julian gave a low, frustrated scream. "Garak!"

Merely looked innocently down at the human, writhing a little, impaled on his body, wanting him so badly. "Hmm?" Blew on his penis again. "There must have been a reason."

Julian's eyes rolled up into his head for a moment. He trembled. "There was an outbreak on her planet, she couldn't leave."

Garak stroked slowly, once. Bashir was twitching, randomly, desperately, against him. He was so beautiful. "What kind of outbreak, my dear Julian?"

Bashir didn't answer. Eyes shut, skin glossy, hands clutching at sofa cushions. Groaning, trying to move against the Cardassian.

Garak withdrew slightly and the doctor whimpered, reaching out to him. His own peak was very close, Julian's even closer.

He closed his own eyes and thrust into his lover, loving the deepness of him, the willingness to play his games, the smell of his sweat. Holding the human's hips, thrusting over and over to the rhythm of Julian's voice repeating, "oh, Garak"

Even as he thrust violently, smiling, asking,

"what"

"oh garak"

"kind"

"oh garak"

"of outbreak"

"oh garak"

"doctor?"

"Oh, God, Garak!" Julian orgasmed with a yell, "Iridian fever! Iridian fever!"

The Cardassian thrust deeply, finally coming. "Aaaaah," releasing into his lover. "Well." He paused. "Well," still shuddering. Waited for the last, buckling wave of pleasure. Exhaled. Then, "most reasonable of her, don't you think?"

The doctor was panting and Garak lowered himself to kiss parted lips. Julian sighed. Garak traced the outline of his lover's lips with his tongue as the doctor spoke, "most reasonable, Garak. Most reasonable. Oh, yes." Kissing eagerly, sucking at the Cardassian's tongue.

Garak smiled. Ran his hands down the human's torso, disengaging and squeezing to the side of the couch. "Well, I'm glad we got a chance to talk, doctor. Conversation is so important in a relationship." he said mildly.

Bashir laughed. "Oh, Garak!"
