"Simple Things" (SG-1, J/D, mm, not explicit)
As in, I have some time to write SG-1 again. It's been a while, I'm rusty. But I was thinking about Jack the other day.
Title: Simple Things
Author: c'est moi
Pairing: Jack/Daniel
Spoilers: no
Rating: pg-13?
Jack liked to keep things simple. Food -- cooked. Beer -- yes. Sex -- you betcha.
Daniel made things complicated. Spicy. Strangely fermented. Wet, hot, and sticky.
So, there was Daniel complicating things up with that tongue of his, translating something he said was related to "linear b", which made no sense at all, as usual, on some dry-ass slab o' rock on a completely monotonous-looking moon. Terraformed, Sam supposed, after they twigged to it, noticing the planet.
The planet with cities on it. The planet, apparently, with spaceflight.
It wasn't so much that Jack objected to still being alive after way too many Stargate missions, it was just -- "Simple, Daniel. Why can't things be simple?" he asked.
Air Forces and Stargates and 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'. And Dr. Daniel Jackson, complicating up his simple life. With that mouth and tongue, and oh, that mouth and tongue.
The light of Jack's formerly-simple life blew on a rock and muttered to himself, oblivious to obstacles.
He sighed and looked at the spaceship coming to the moon. To kill them or talk to them, they'd know soon enough.
The planet was pretty, though.
