"So," said Jack O'Neill, cutting the man's bonds with his knife, "we need a guy. For a thing. Interested?"
The captive in question looked more relaxed than they did, giving a smile that hid whatever was going on behind his eyes. He looked Jack up and down. "A thing." The smile got broader. "Don't most air forces have people for that?"
"This is a special job," supplied Sam.
Their target's laser eyes sliced her and Daniel in a split second. "Really."
"Humanity needs your services, MichaelWeston." observed Teal'c, hands clasped behind his back. His sigil glowed in the Miami sunlight. "Will you fight?"
There was no hesitation in the answer, from the man who always only said I'll see what I can do. Who never committed. "Yes."
