Back in younger days, Jack was a speed freak. Not that kind. He flew fighters. Clocked more hours then the next three pilots when he could.
Then he got married, had a sprog, and found out Charlie's day was ten kinds of thrill flying a fighter could never touch. Being a dad...that was addicting.
And then hell opened up with the sound of a gunshot.
Jack didn't have a taste for anything for a long time.
Until the gate. Until Daniel risked...everything.
Stepping through the gate: what a rush.
It could never get old.
