Wishlist thing

Basically just LJ stuff.
(ETA: Came back and added the how-to stuff. I'm either pathetic, or apathetic. Hard to tell.)
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
A "Sports Night" icon or icon blank, pref. of Dan and Casey, but what I'd really love is an animated icon of all the major players in the cast - Dan, Casey, Dana, Isaac, Melanie and Jeremy, in couplets: Dan/Casey, Casey/Dana, Isaac, Melanie/Jeremy - and maybe something with the "CSC" show logo. One of their tag lines was "so...stick around". Some interesting original text pour moi might be "true love can make a great sports show".
A "Mulan" icon or icon blank, either of Mulan, her grandmother, or Mulan's...well, I always think of them as her Three Stooges. If them, please, one of the shots in drag. Though, I get a kick out of the buddha-bas relief shot when Chen Po is waxing poetic about beef! pork! chicken!, too.
A "Jake 2.0" icon of Jake with the text, "Nanotech means free cable", or "Nanotech = free cable", or, better yet, "I can program your VCR with my brain". Something like that. (I like that last one.)
Another [time period] added to the paid Livejournal account.
Rooibus-based teas, including the chocolate rooibus for extra-special occasions. Also, "China white" green tea. No, I don't get the name, either.
And not that I need to pile One More Thing onto Elke's shoulders...but a disc of vids would be really, really, nice. (I like vids, I like vids of fandoms I don't care about, as long as I can vaguely recognize the show, I like funny vids, I like angsty vids, and I love Versaphile's vids. Vids are fun. They're...bite-sized.)
(ETA)
You know what I really want? I really, really want? I want a new icon for
plaidder. One where the plaid looks more like it's actually in or on the snake's skin -- whether the snake looks more realistic or not. I don't know why I want this, but I do.
