Two women, a box of wine (each), one Whitman's sampler of chocolates, and a very special movie.

"Look at those pants."

An audible gasp. "Oh. My. God."

"Told you."

Sigh. "Look at me, I'm actually chewing on my knuckle in a 1930's passionate-starlet kind of way."

"Don't be melodramatic, Janet."

"I can't help it, it's Ziggy Stardust! But with more hair!"

"I know, I know." Sam patted her hand. "Just wait until the end."

"Oh, look! Prance, David darling! Prance! Prance in those pants!" Janet took another slug of cheap red wine and leaned closer. "Wait, what happens at the end?"

"The use of the word 'slave' is involved."

Sharp intake of breath. "Really?"

Sam nodded vigorously, popped a chocolate in her mouth, and downed half her wine as a chaser.

"Why, oh, why, have I not seen this movie before?"

"That was my question." They refilled glasses. Who cared if the wine got warm, sitting on the coffee table, it came out of a box, for Christ's sake. "I've seen this movie so many times I know all the lines."

"Do you, now?"

"Yes..." came the reluctant response.

"Really. Do tell."

"When I was younger I had a, a...a thing for David Bowie." She admitted, finally.

Janet's arm wrapped around her shoulders and pulled her close. "Oh, honey, you are never too young or too old for an obsession with David Bowie. I understand completely."

They watched more.

"Pants! Yes!"
