Huh.

I was just thinking about all the knocking down Harry gets as the books get longer (particularly, the Dementors in PoA, and the Occlumency lessons with Snape in OotP), and it occurred to me that Harry is Job. If Harry is Job, then Dumbledore must be God.

How can I reconcile this with Babylon 5 doctrine, which states quite clearly (in the Holy Canon!) that Ivanova is God.

Oh, dear.

I believe that B5 is set 22... something something (ack, I've listened to those opening schpiels so many times. Numbers are not my thing, obviously. 2245? Something like that) Anyway, point being, B5 is at least a hundred odd years hence. I'm giving Dumbledore no better than 50/50 odds of surviving to the end of the series, which gives God plenty of time to reincarnate as Ivanova. *g*

Ah, I love the smell of reconciled doctrine in the morning.

Hey, there are people who made their entire careers based on reconciling doctrine. And people who got labelled heretics and hunted mercilessly for attempting the same, but I digress.

If it makes you happy/fits whatever criteria you need it to fit, then go for it. *g*

I'd still go with Ivanova, personally.
