finished Doctor Who (8): /Vampire Science/
Sep. 6th, 2003 12:16 pmJust finished /Vampire Science/, by Jonathan Blum and Kate Orman.
It was so good! I loved it! Funny, fast-paced, yet still meaningful-'choose life'-stuff. Wow.
Vampires, San Francisco, kittens, biochemistry, Sam, the theatre, the Doctor. Excellent.
It's funny, I've known of Kate Orman for ages, but this is the first stuff of hers I've actually read, I think.
You know how you don't want to pick up a different book because you're still savoring the one you just finished? That's me, right now.
Awesome. Just awesome.
Also, started in on the Fifth Doctor episodes from versaphile with The King's Demons.

More Who-age
Sep. 6th, 2003 04:31 pmVersaphile's set me up with the Fifth Doctor episodes The King's Demons (watched last night), Warriors of the Deep (just finished watching moments ago), and Resurrection of the Daleks. Warriors of the Deep in particular was neat in that I got to see a Who failure, as the enemy had to be killed in order to solve the problem.
I'll watch Resurrection later today, start in on reading Seeing I tonight (more Jonathan Blum and Kate Orman), and should be able to start listening to the audiodrama Neverland tomorrow night or Monday.

Explicit sex, and I *do* mean explicit.
Title: Christening the Flat
Author: Apple Cameron, September 2003.
Fandom: Doctor Who, Eighth Doctor
Pairing: Eighth Doctor/Bernice Summerfield
Category: Missing scene for The Dying Days, by Lance Parkin.
Spoilers: The Dying Days, by Lance Parkin.
Rating: Adult only.
( one entry in The Versaphile Birthday Project )
The next item in The Birthday Project (not counting any other pure-sex-fics that might present themselves to be tossed off) is EITHER going to be:
1. DW 8/Hornblower (series) xover
2. DW 8/5 slash, possibly set in a different universe, but I shan't say which.
3. DW 8/? hetfic, hopefully more from his POV than hers, which may not be possible. Although. Wait. A tried-and-true idea may just have occurred to me. Hm. Hm some more.
Anyway. I'm aiming for #2, hence all the Five episode-watching, but we'll see what happens.
